Free Halo mod for Star Wars Forces of Corruption

Campaign Commander Mod is a free-to-use game utility created by the_Farseer. This custom add-on for the real-time strategy expansion pack, Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption, acts as a crossover between the Halo and Star Wars universes. In this version, you get to witness the human race facing the Covenant, a conglomerate of multiple alien species moving as a single, unstoppable force in the galaxy.

Instead of adopting single-player action gameplay, such as in Halo Infinite or Halo: Reach, Campaign Commander Mod lets you experience a strategy-based experience in fighting the Covenant, consistent with the base game.

Stop the Covenant or join them

In Campaign Commander Mod, you get to choose between two factions: the Human UNSC and the Covenant. While the premise creates the impression of a one-sided war, playing on either side is definitely a fun and challenging experience. It was given an AI that starts at a certain difficulty level, making it quite difficult for new players to enjoy, but definitely good for regular players.

As for the graphics, expect standard Forces of Corruption gameplay but with an all-new set of assets taken from the Halo franchise. You get to enjoy various spacecraft used by the Covenant as well as the United Nations Space Command (UNSC). More importantly, ground units for both factions are granted unique weapons that are distinguishable based on animation and design like the Needler and the Energy Sword.

With only 309.6 MB of storage requirements, it’s a fitting addition to any Forces of Corruption gameplay library. It could use more work with the maps, though. While it gives us a rough idea of the world as they were presented in the Halo franchise, the ground-level maps lack detail, with some of them being limited to flat warfare surfaces.

An immersive crossover

With Campaign Commander Mod, you get to enjoy the war between the UNSC and the Covenant. It combines the premise and assets from the Halo franchise, adapted to the landscape and mechanics of the Star Wars strategy game. You get a game that is massively enjoyable, despite not being accessible for new players and having limited creativity with the included custom maps.
